Established in 1978, we at Guangdong Polytechnic of Environmental Protection Engineering, also known as Guangdong Environmental Protection Vocational College, serve as a premier, full-time public institution of higher vocational education. Administered by the Guangdong Provincial People’s Government, our institution is deeply dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders and innovators in environmental sustainability. As a cornerstone of applied environmental education in China, we are officially recognized as a pilot unit of the Ministry of Education’s modern apprenticeship system, a high-level vocational college construction unit in Guangdong Province, and a vice-chairman unit of the National Steering Committee for Ecological and Environmental Protection.
With a rich history spanning nearly five decades, we have evolved into a leading provider of practical, eco-centric education. Today, we operate across two dynamic campuses located in Foshan and Guangzhou, where we foster a vibrant academic community of over 13,000 students supported by a dedicated faculty and staff of more than 700 professionals.
To ensure our students receive cutting-edge, hands-on training, we offer 34 specialized higher vocational majors across 8 secondary colleges, featuring national key majors and provincial high-level professional groups. This robust curriculum is fully supported by advanced, industry-standard teaching and research facilities valued at over RMB 104 million. At Guangdong Polytechnic, we bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world ecological impact, preparing our graduates to build a greener, more sustainable tomorrow.
