Women Empowerment in Sustainable Development
Dr. Aileen A. Diansuy is the Interim President of the Antipolo Institute of Technology (AiTECH) in the Philippines and the President of the Mathematics Teachers Association of the Philippines Tertiary Level (MTAPTL). With a Ph.D. in Mathematics, she has held distinguished roles in academia, including College Professor and Chair of the Mathematics Department at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and at the University of the East, as well as faculty positions at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, National University, Far Eastern University, Siena College of Taytay and Philippine Christian University significantly advancing mathematics education and curriculum development.
At AiTECH, Dr. Diansuy leads the Bamboo Community Project, which promotes sustainable building technology in partnership with the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP), the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE), and DTI-Rizal. As part of her involvement in the AIM-CHED Capstone Project, BarKaDaHan, her team created one of the best capstone projects, recognized during their graduation from the AIM-CHED GALP for LUCs. Dr. Diansuy also develops e-learning materials that emphasize gender equality and women’s empowerment in mathematics, underscoring her commitment to inclusive and transformative education in the Philippines.
